1. How to read this ad?
Step 1. Record a header (1 recording)
One audio recording with the following information:
- (Required) Store name
- (Required) Dates the specials are valid
- (Required) Date of recording
Example:
βFoods Co.'s Great deals flyer. Specials are valid from January 31st, Wednesday to February 27th, Tuesday. Recorded on January 31st.β
Step 2. Record the flyer page by page (1 recording per page)
INFO
If you have trouble telling pages apart, please take a look at section 3. How to distinguish pages? for helpful tips.
A recording for a page will include the following:
-
Page number
e.g., βPage 7.β -
Short summary of items on the page
e.g., βfruits, cereals, pre-cooked foodβSometimes a single page has a lot of items, so the summary would be overly long. In this case, please split the page and record them as 2 separate pages. This would also cut the original summary in half. You can even split a large page into 3 or more if needed.
-
Items listed on the page
See section 2. How to read the items below. -
βEnd of page.β
Repeat the above steps for each page. For example, if the flyer has 16 pages then you should end up with 17 recordings (1 recording for each page plus the header recording in Step 1 above).
The flyer itself is on this link.
Step 3. Upload recordings
Upload your recordings to this online folder.
Please make sure that the name of each recording starts with the page number! In fact, you can simply name each file with its page number if you like.
For example:
01
02
- etc.
